We caught up with Amanda who works on the Airport Advantage Sales Team as a Sales Executive to chat about her development from cleaning the MAG-O offices to working here permanently as a Sales Executive for the Sales Team.

A notoriously busy and fast paced role, Amanda was encouraged by the team to apply for the vacancy due to her vibrant and approachable personality. ‘I’m so glad I came over to MAG-O whilst I was cleaning as I really wanted a new challenge and I wouldn’t be where I am now if I hadn’t made the move’ Amanda said when discussing how her career changed thanks to her close relationships with the team. ‘I’ve always been made to feel part of the team and I was encouraged to apply for this position'.

Amanda praises the company for noticing her skills, ‘I feel like I’m learning at 100mph as there is so much to take in but the team are so supportive, I appreciate how they have persevered with me’. 

Although the role is demanding, Amanda is quickly adapting to the job thanks to her supportive team and line manager and natural flair for customer service.

A New Start at MAG-O

Esmond Fong is a UX designer, currently working on the MAG-O digital retail team. Esmond joined us on 15/01/18. After months of deciding of where I wanted to take my career in UX, I finally chose MAG-O. Working for a digital agency, on site at one of the UK’s busiest airports, which focuses on enhancing pre-flight experience through innovative new technology, was an opportunity I simply couldn’t pass up. The format of the business is just like a start-up - working Agile within cross functional teams in an office space designed with that in mind. Everything in the office is brand-new, with awesome break out areas and meeting rooms. It also has a usability lab which is essential in my line of work as well as being extremely cool.
